Behavioral Health Services

Behavioral Health Services are for individuals, couples, families and children interested in better understanding themselves, their emotions and their relationships.

If you are experiencing any of the following, you may benefit from counseling: difficulties coping with daily problems or stress, loss of purpose or motivation, excessive fears or worries, extreme mood changes, withdrawal from friends and activities, identity issues, significant tiredness or low energy, problems sleeping, racing thoughts, alcohol or drug abuse, excessive anger, major changes in eating habits or sex drive, trouble understanding or relating to others, confused thinking or reduced ability to concentrate, experiencing a significant life change or loss, and/or struggling with self-esteem or body-image issues.

Sometimes symptoms of compromised mental health appear as physical problems such as the following: stomach pain, digestive issues, headaches, back pain or other unexplained symptoms. Don’t hesitate in speaking to your doctor about Therapy as a treatment option.

A person does NOT have to be experiencing significant symptoms to benefit from talk therapy. It is an opportunity for EVERYONE to respond more adaptively to their thoughts, feelings and situations. It is a modality for self-growth and healing that supports a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

Wellness Coaching Services

Wellness Coaching involves focusing on mental, emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of our life and working towards bringing these aspects into harmony. It encourages exploration of wellness goals, values, perceptions, life choices, habits and personal barriers. Discussions can involve anything that impacts your health, fitness and general prosperity such as nutrition, stress managements, weight management, physical activity, community involvement, spiritual practices and work-life balance.

The main goal of Wellness Coaching is to educate, empower and support clients in making sustainable lifestyle changes that will improve their quality of life. Many of us are experiencing poor health as a result of chronic life-style related conditions. Wellness coaching provides the opportunity to live more intentionally and become proficient at taking care of yourself.

A structured class designed to align and calm your body, mind and spirit. It will introduce all the basic postures with emphasis on alignment and breath. FAQ

What if I have never done yoga before?

You do not need to have any prior yoga experience. Yoga can be safely practiced by students of all ages, fitness levels, and body types. The intention of LTPC Yoga is to create a space where people feel welcomed, supported and able to experience the true benefits of yoga. If you have any serious concerns about your health, please check with your doctor before participating.

Should I practice yoga if I have an injury?

Yoga is about honoring the body and never pushing beyond our limits. Be sure to let the teacher know if you have any chronic injuries or issues that might affect your ability to practice. The teacher can offer modifications when necessary. If at any time you experience pain, respect your body and gently move out of the pose. It is important to remember that a safe practice promotes longevity and advancement on the path of yoga.

What do I wear?

We suggest wearing athletic clothing that is comfortable and allows you to move freely. Baggy T-shirts are often fine for guys, but women tend to prefer tight-fitting tops so that bending forward or backward isn’t exposing. Layers are also useful in allowing you to regulate your body temperature during the class. You will not need shoes since yoga is traditionally practiced barefoot, but you might want a hair tie if you have longer hair.

Do I need to reserve space?

Yes, you will conveniently be redirected to our schedule by clicking the LTPC Yoga Signup link below. It will ask you to create a login and provide some basic contact and payment information before scheduling you for your preferred class.

Do I need any equipment?

Please bring a yoga mat if you have one. You are welcome to bring any other yoga props such as a strap, block, bolster, or blanket. There will be extra yoga mats and props available for your use.

When should I arrive for class?

Please arrive 5 – 10 minutes before the class start time. Punctuality is important as it supports your practice and honors your body to have a proper warm up. We also want to respect our fellow students by limiting disruption. Please remember to leave cell phones in your car, turn them off, or set them on silent (not vibrate) mode. We appreciate you helping us to create a peaceful atmosphere!

How do I get to the studio?

The studio is located right off M119 in the Harbor Plaza. You will see a wooden path on the farthest right-hand side of the building complex that will lead you behind the building to access Suite 11.
